Get Fit in '06!

Lindsey Greer
 Lindsey is a senior studying Health Science and is currently the Vice President of Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity.  Lindsey is from Athens, PA and in her free time enjoys socializing with her friends and floating down the mighty West Branch.

If you want to burn calories, increase your heart rate, and tone your body, come to Lindsey's classes Monday through Thursday from 5-5:50pm.
 

 

Heather Kramer
Heather is a junior studying Recreation Management and is from Johnstown, PA.  Heather spent the past summer in Hawaii mastering her Yoga skills.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, climbing, and listening to her friends play guitar.


You can see Heather  Monday through Thursday for her Yoga classes at 7:00pm.
 

Ashley Hunsinger

Ashley is a Senior studying Health Science/Pre Physician Assistant here at LHUP.  In her free time she enjoys working out and socializing with her friends.

Join Ashley for her "Step" classes Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Check the schedule below  for class times.

 

 

Jennifer Thorp
Jennifer is a senior Health and Physical Education major from Curwensville, Pennsylvania.  She is a Libra whose classes balance increasing your heart rate and having fun!


Want to attend Jen's classes?  You will find her Strength Training at the Student Recreation Center  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:50pm. 
 

 

TERESINA SUSZKO                               

Teresina is a junior studying Recreation-Fitness Management, and is from Warminster, Pennsylvania. She is certified in kickboxing and loves to make exercise workouts. She plans to work on a military base at their MWR department in the near future.!

 Wanting to kick some carbs and tone your trouble spots? Well Teresina is right for you. You will catch her teaching Cardio with Toning and Total body kick Monday through Thursday at 8pm.

Aerobics Class Descriptions

 STRENGTH TRAINING: 

 MONDAY & WEDNESDAY  4:00- 4:50 P.M.

 INSTRUCTOR:  JEN

Strength training is toning muscles from head to toe.  During the class you will utilize free weights and resistance to shape your muscles. This class starts out with a full body stretch followed by exercises designed to strengthen each muscle.

 

 STEP AND TONE:  MONDAYS &  WEDNESDAYS  5:00- 5:50 P.M.

 INSTRUCTOR:  LINDSEY

Step aerobics for beginners through advanced!  This class consists of a warm-up, followed by a 30-35 minute cardio segment, then floor-work and abdominals, plus a cool-down.  We’ll use the step to do simple and fun dance patterns that are guaranteed to work up a sweat—a great way to have fun while exercising!

 

 YOGA:  MONDAY Through THURSDAY 7:00- 7:50 P.M.

 INSTRUCTOR:  HEATHER

This class integrates body and mind for total performance featuring strength, conditioning and flexibility. Yoga can be both relaxing and invigorating but don’t let it be intimidating.  Yoga is appropriate for all levels of fitness and can improve athletic performance through lean muscle build.

 

 CARDIO and BODY SCULPTING:  TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 5:00- 5:50 P.M.

 INSTRUCTOR:  LINDSEY

Burn calories and tone your entire body with this half and half workout!  We’ll do 30 minutes of cardio to get your heart pumping (a combination of step and floor aerobics and kickboxing).  For the remaining 30 minutes we’ll use hand weights, weighted body bars, and resistance bands to sculpt the entire upper and lower body—including the abdominals!  This workout is designed for beginners through advanced.  It is a great way to burn fat while building muscular strength and endurance.

TOTAL CARDIO KICK:  MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 8:00-8:50 P.M. SATURDAYS 5:00 - 6:00P.M.                                                                     INSTRUCTOR:  TERESINA                                                                                                    If your interested in jabbing your body and kicking some carbs than this class if for you! Kickboxing is a full body, awesome workout that combines kicks and punches to improve balance, coordination, strength and endurance. This workout is very fun and you will enjoy it, by working your overall body from your core to your buns..

CARDIO WITH TONING: TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 8:00-8:50 P.M.        INSTRUCTOR:  TERESINA                                                                                                    If you’re the type of person that gets bored easily and likes change than this class is for you! This class will be in segments and the first part will be 30 minutes of cardio (a combination of high and low impact aerobics). The second segment is Toning and will include parts of Pilates and weight lifting to help tone those trouble spots.

STEP:  SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS 6:00-7:00PM                                                                                                                         INSTRUCTOR:ASHLEY                                                                                                                              Step aerobics is a great way to tone and work on your cardio while having a good time.  So if you are interested in some intense stepping come join us!
